The Society for the Advancement of Material and Processing Engineering (SAMPE) announced on Jan. 22 a new regional event, SAMPE Asia, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand in February 2008.This event will provide a forum for the advanced materials community by bringing technical sessions, tutorials, and exhibits to this rapidly expanding region.

To complement the technical program, SAMPE Asia will also provide a combination of tabletop and exhibit booths. The conference programming will span three days; exhibits will be featured on two days.

SAMPE Asia will be chaired by Dr. Toshio Tanimoto, Shonan Institute of Technology, Japan; Dr. Klaus Drechsler, University of Stuttgart, Germany; and Mr. John E. Green, GSG Inc.
